I was recently asked to check out their Summer lines and I decided to pick an item that would actually take me year round- a light weight jacket. Here in the South, we carry jackets not for the weather during Summer, but for the ac inside! So with Miss Grace looking to start her Irish Dance competitions in the Fall (still Summer inducing heat here in the South), I decided on a jacket that represented her team's colors, making it easier for her to find me, and to blend with the kids.

So I picked the muti colored Sport-Tek LST92 Ladies Piped Tricot Track Jacket by Port Authority. Having had Port Authority items before, I knew to size up for more comfort (I don't like tight fitting jackets). At around $30 (price varies by size and amount ordered), it is a jacket that will indeed work year round. It is polyester tricot has a soft brushed backing, making it a little warmer than your typical athletic jacket. It has a contoured silhouette, making it more feminine, as well.

Again, I wanted it larger and not so tight fitting. I could have gone down a size (maybe 2), which is why the arms are so long and sleeves so wide. I will be having to fix the sleeves, as I have small wrists and they need to be taken in a bit. But otherwise, I love how well the jacket fits- it will be uber comfortable for sitting in halls for Miss Grace's feis, all morning long, yet light weight enough to carry around all day! 

The jacket is available in all black with white piping, or in 4 4 other color combos, so you can match your team colors as well! How well did we do in matching the kid's jacket?

Yup- pretty darn close! Miss Grace even commented that it looked like a parents jacket version, I just needed the writing on it! And I probably will go ahead and have the team name and 'Louisiana' put on the front, making it even more alike! I'm thrilled with the jacket, and know the rest of the team parents will be too, at an afforable choice!
