Quick show of hands- how many of you have a Christmas Elf tradition in your house?

Now how many of you like leaving notes for loved ones during the year- be it in lunches, briefcases, backpacks, etc?

If your hands are still up, I have a great new product, you are going to LOVE!

Gnoments are an unique relationship-building tool to help you share and create special moments with the one you love.

Currently available for most Android users (YEAH, Android gets something first! LOL- but they will soon to be enabled for iPhones too), each gnome smart phones has a NFC tag inside that lets the user program with special messages, photos or videos. They give you an exciting way to be romantic, thoughtful, and fun.  Record a YouTube video, sound clip, write a text, or set up a scavenger hunt, and more, with your husband, wife, girlfriend, boyfriend, or anyone else for that matter!

All the recipient has to do is to simply scan the gnome, and they will see your message on their phone! If you are away from your gnome, but still want to send a special message, Gnoments’ mobile-friendly website includes a special messaging system called Gnomifications, where you can create a Gnomitar (a gnome avatar) and send an email or text with the same links that can be shared through the embedded NFC tags. Check out how it works:

Kind gestures goes a long way to show someone how much you care, don't they?
The possibilities are endless with Gnoments!

The Gnoments Kit includes a boy and girl gnome and a story book. Each gnome has a special back pouch (shown above), and their own embedded NFC chip. The gnomes are made of plush felt with a bean bag bottom, a positionable hat, and magnets in each hand so they hold hands. The magnets are pretty strong too- we've been able to hang ours sideways and they stay connected pretty well. Each gnome is weighted as well, so they won't easily fall over! The 32-page illustrated story book, written in verse, demonstrates how to use your gnomes, provides fun gnome facts, and includes a log to record your special moments.

If you need some inspiration, for fun activities or ideas, you can check out the Gnoments FacebookTwitter and Pinterest pages!

gnoments arrival

For us, I decided to use the Gnoments to start a new family tradition this year, instead, as I'm not in a relationship right now. The gnomes arrived Monday as Miss Grace was anxiously awaiting the arrival of her Christmas elf, Annabelle. The duo (unnamed, and requesting to be named) arrived with a note letting Miss Grace know that they are her "kindness keepers". While Annabelle reports back and forth to Santa about her over all behavior, the Gnomes will let Annabelle know every time she is KIND to others. By using the gnomes we've added another level to the Advent season, and found a way to remind Miss Grace of what the season means, more than just what is she getting in her Advent box or under the tree,

Milo & Annie (I have no idea where the names came from- she just woke up and decided those were their names yesterday morning...)  now have to follow her, in order 'to properly report back to Annabelle and Santa, about all the kind deeds she does" So yes, that means they head off in the car. Please note, they are properly seatbelted in- safety and kindness first! LOL And yes, new kitty, Kitty (sigh naming is not her forte), is their pet while they are at our house, to help keep them company... The duo has already reported back to Annabelle and she graciously sent her back a 'BEE Kind' (more on that to come) necklace, in their little  backpack, along with a cute little video. Miss Grace was tickled and she proudly went over to school with glee that not only does she have an Elf, she has 2 gnomes that are hi-tech! But hey, her behavior has GREATLY improved since the gnomes came on scene, so we aren't complaining!

So there you have it- you can make the Gnoments a new family tradition for you and your dearest, for sharing all year round, or you can use them with the kids, for a new take on an annual tradition!
