Has your mom gotten on the new 'adult coloring' trend?
Are you tired of using the kids' colored pencils, and wishing you had better ones to use, for your
coloring (I hate that word) stress releaving hobby?
I have the solution for both of you!
This wonderful set of OMNE 36 assorted colorful pencils, that come ready to use, in their own wonderful carrying tube! They are perfect for using for any crafting or hobby use, but especially for use with the new adult coloring books.
The set even comes with it's own sharpener, nicely tucked into a holding slot at the top of the canister! And in case you are wondering, there is room to add a small eraser in there too!
As you can see, the pencils are naturally colored, in that the outside of the pencil is unpainted or colored, but appear to have just been made! But don't let their simplicity fool you, these are some very high quality colored drawing pencils for coloring, writing, drawing, sketching, and more! They easily can handle extra-smooth lines in rough drafts, sketches and pencil illustrations, as well as giving you wonderful swaths of color!
It's a bouquet of color!
As you can see, the colored pencils feature pigmented color for color that stays the same from pencil end to paper. There's no hoping the color will be what it looks like on the pencil. It IS that color, in all it's richness! The pencils are oil based, so they are easy to blend as well!
Sorta makes you nostalgic, doesn't it?
I LOVE how expensive this tube and the pencils look, but at under $20, including shipping, you can really afford to get Mom AND yourself a set! But she'll think you paid a whole lot more! They'd also be perfect for the graduate heading off to art school, as the tube makes the set very east to transport and use!
My only true gripe with the set, is that you have to have them upright, so you can see the colors!
If you are outside, or in good quality light, then you can determine if that color is brown or dark red, but if you aren't it's hard to tell sometimes by looking at the tips. I wish the color was marked on the pencil ends, and I may end up writing them on their myself in fine marker, so I won't erroneously grab the wrong pencil. Although we did find out when Miss Grace accidentally hit my hand, that a good eraser will easily erase unwanted marks as well, with no bleed through. And hint, on the Amazon purchase page, there is a color guide with all the names, and colors, in case you aren't sure what colors you get.
But the proof is in usage, right?
As you can see from above and below, these pencils can easily make any project you are working on look very professionally done! In the top picture, I used the pencils LIGHTLY, for a softer hue.
Then on the same picture, I went back over the coloration with either the same color, or an additional color, for more brightness and depth, like adding more red to the hair, and yellow to the dress, and blue to the background. You can see JUST how versatile these colors are!
And admit it, if you're gonna carry colored pencils and a coloring book around, wouldn't you rather carry this fun tube and pencil set, that makes you look like an artist? I know I do and I will! Course, I may have to buy Miss Grace her own set. After taking over my previous set, she now wants these and their 'neat' container, LOL.
So head on over and pick up a few sets for Mom, you and another lucky recipient. They'll all love you for it!
