Ah Fall....

When the humidity goes away, our activity tends to increase, and the inevitable occurs...

If you're active, or active and getting older (LOL), you may find yourself needing some help in recovering from an injury, or trying to keep injuries at bay, or from getting worse.

And while support tape and standard supports have their uses, technology has come a long way, and there is a better way to keep injuries from happening, or to reduce your recovery time from them, and one company has some great items that can do just that:

vive health logo

Based in Florida (our prayers are with them as Matthew affects them), Vive has taken the idea of combining essential medical technology and modern branding and design, to make mobility, support and physical therapy products that not only work, but that you want to wear and use! By designing everything in house, they can keep the quality high and offer a 60 day guarantee on ALL their products (just be sure to register your products after you receive them!) ! And you get your product very quickly, as they have multiple warehouses across the country, to serve your needs!

We were sent two of their products to check out:

Arthritis Compression Gloves

Arthritis Compression Gloves 1

The Vive compression arthritis gloves are designed to help alleviate wrist and hand pain. They gently hug aching joints, soothing wrists, thumbs, and fingers by increasing circulation and providing just the right amount of compression. The gloves come in 3 sizes, so be sure to measure properly, for the correct fit- they should be SNUG, not loose

Arthritis Compression Gloves 2

These gloves are made with breathable cotton and feature an open finger design that allows you to wear them throughout the day without compromising dexterity. Plus thanks to their minimal stitching (to eliminate irritation), they don't rub or irritate your hands.

Arthritis Compression Gloves 3

I like these form-fitting gloves, better than the pair I had previously shared with you, thanks to their softer compression, and how the cotton lets you feel more. This is helpful when typing, or doing fine needlework. They really make a HUGE difference in my wrists, when I have to do repetitive motions all day long, to alleviate pain, that can flare up from my tendonitis.

Arthritis Compression Gloves 4

In fact, they are so lightweight and breathable, that you might find yourself wearing them all day long! Especially with winter upon us soon, these gloves really can help to keep your hands in motion and prevent injuries from occurring, by keeping the heat, where it needs to be, at your joints. And there is no worry about getting them dirty, as you can hand wash them in cold water, hang dry and reuse! They are my new favorite!

Bamboo ankle support

The Vive bamboo ankle support is specifically designed to alleviate ankle pain caused by strains, sprains, or arthritis.

Made with a bamboo-charcoal hybrid material, it provides support and compression to sore ankles, soothing inflammation by increasing circulation to the affected area. You can see JUST how tight the compression fabric is in the picture above- the actual heel area is the looser weave on the left side.

I wanted to show you a picture of these on Miss Grace's ankle, but we ordered a small/medium, thinking it would be the right size, and while it fit, it was SO tight on her, that it hurt, so obviously she needs the next size up. However, we were able to determine that it DOES offer great support in retaining heat and keeping your ankle area flexible. I also tried it on her arm and she verified that it does stay even an even temperature- which is great for recovery! It is machine washable for easy cleaning, something I love, as if she were to use it for Irish Dance class, it would be drenched in sweat after! But at least it wouldn't smell it, thanks to its anti-microbial fibers that keep it hygienic and fresh. And it can stand up to frequent washing thanks to its unique bamboo charcoal hybrid fabric!
