Review:
This new bible is aimed at kids, ages 6-12, but I think boys might find it leaned a bit more toward them, even though there are female characters as well, as part of the Airship Genesis team. They are all introduced in the face leaf pages, prior to the beginning of the bible. From the start this looks and feel like a kids bible, as you can see from the illustrations below, and the adjoining text, it is larger print, with clear line and paragraph delineations, making it easier for kids to read and/or follow along with. The illustrations themselves, speak to elementary age kids- while not too cartoonish, yet accessible.
The Rupert Reports and Power Force side entries allow kids to apply the bible verses in their own lives, as you can see, above and below. They take an element from the passages and break it down simply and in an easier way for kids to understand.
The additional references, charts and maps, all work together to not only give kids more information, but to allow visual tuned kids (which most are nowadays, thanks to electronics), a way to bring the pages to life. They also allow for more in depth studying of the text, making this also a great bible for parents and teachers to use, to draw kids into the teachings, by incorporating them, and all the additional bonus features at AirshipGenesis.com! These include audio lessons, aka episodes, on topics like loyalty, courageousness and being prayerful, activities like word searches and crosswords, and even quizzes!
