Hachette sent me a lovely devotional book by Joyce Meyers, How to Hear From God for review and I am so glad to be able to share it with you in a giveaway as well!
In the hustle and bustle of today's busy world, sometimes it's hard enough to hear yourself think, much less take a minute to stop and listen for the voice of God, or to read from the Bible.
This devotional shows the reader through a daily reminder, how God speaks through their own thoughts and feelings, their dreams, and the words of other people. Meyers has a biblical quote each day, and then her thoughts on it and how it relates to our lives.
If you haven’t head Meyers preach, you might want to check out her website. She is very down to earth and approachable in her sermons, and relates the modern world to the Bible and back again, in an easy to understand and comprehend manner. If you want to watch one preacher that can cross all faiths, Meyers is it.
This devotional is a great introduction to Meyer’s teachings, and a great way to take 5 minutes a day to hear the word and how you can bring it into your life.
