Tellurian Naturals was founded by Jane Leeves and Ron Lewis. Jane Leeves has made her mark in the world of television, theatre and film. TV audiences know her as “Daphne Moon” in the long running hit series Frasier for which she won a SAG award and was nominated for an Emmy and Golden Globe. She can currently be seen as “Joy” on the new TV Land series Hot in Cleveland. Ron Lewis is the founder and president of Cosmetic Technologies one of the countries leading contract manufacturers of skin and hair care products. In his 35 year career he has been involved in creating thousands of skin and hair care product including many nationally and internationally known brands.

Q. What prompted you to start a line of Baby Products?
A. Ron
Well, going from 0 to 4 grandchildren in a 24 month period, having 2 of our staff members have babies in the same time period, as well as my neighbor, it seemed from my perspective that there was a second “baby boom” going on. It really prompted me take a serious look at the baby category. There was also a big expose in the Washington Post a year or so ago that revealed that there were a lot of questionable ingredients being used in baby care products. I felt the need and opportunity was big enough to do something about it.

Once I became a mother myself, I naturally started paying a lot more attention to what was going in my children as well as on them. I’ve tried a lot of different products with my kids. Once I got to know Ron I was convinced we could create something really special.Q. How did you meet?

We were introduced by a mutual friend Vicki McCarty,a personal manager and knows a number of celebrities.A. Ron
A product line we had developed was accepted by one of the shopping channels. They were looking for a spokesperson so I called Vicki ,who suggested I meet with Jane. When I explained to Jane the time commitment, she said she wasn’t willing to spend that much time away from her children. I was really touched and impressed by the priority she gave her children and family. When I later thought of creating a baby line I knew Jane would be the perfect partner.
Q. What is unique about Tellurian Baby?
A. Ron
The objective was to create products that were scientifically/dermatologically advanced, and at the same time, as pure and natural as possible. What evolved in the process is a redefinition of what natural skin care means. We are actually using the natural components of the skin to maintain the optimum condition of the skin. ,We’ve referred to this as “skin care based on the nature of the skin itself”.

My biggest concern was making sure that ...none of the bad stuff and that the products were pure and gentle and effective as we could make them. No matter how advanced they may be, if they don’t smell good, feel good and work well no one will want to use them, at least not more than once.

We were sent the full array of the product line for Baby, so I am splitting the review into 2 reviews, with a giveaway on the 2nd review!
For this review, I will be discussing the Baby Shampoo, Baby Body Wash and the Baby Lotion.
First, let me say, when kiddo saw these products come out of the box, she instantly claimed the above 3 items for herself, claiming they were 'babies of her bubble bath (a different brand, which we reviewed before),cause they were all shaped the same" and she was taking them to the bathtub. So I didn't get a good look at them til bath time!
Kiddo insisted on using all 3 that first night. I am very afraid I am instilling a love of product testing in her, as she helps Mama so much with reviews for this blog! LOL

Besides using it as a body wash, kiddo insisted we use it as a bubble bath and I have to admit it did an admirable job of producing decent lasting bubbles, and it left kiddo's skin super soft. AND the smell during the bath was heavenly for both of us. Kiddo declared it a big winner!
When you comb out your child hair and it's super easy, and then when your child hair starts to dry and it is silky smooth and soft to the touch, THEN you realize how much you LOVE this shampoo!
They also have a 2n1 shampoo and body wash- that is pretty much a combo of the 2 products!
The Tellurian Baby Lotion contains elements of the skins own Natural Moisturizing Factors which work within the skin to attract and bind moisture. Formulated to replicate and restore lipids naturally present in the skin that in addition to regulating moisture levels also serve to enhance the skins crucial barrier properties. Vitamin E, Aloe Vera and a rich combination of botanical extracts soothe and nourish.Kiddo loves the smell too!
Kiddo may be 3, but she has sensitive skin, so when I can find these type of natural products that are beneficial to her skin/hair, yet she loves, I'm a convert!
