As you know if you've been reading this blog, we LOVE the God Gave Us book series by Lisa Tawn Bergren! The books are so wonderfully illustrated and Kiddo has loved every one of them! We love them for their Christian themes set around common questions young children have! So we were thrilled to be able to review this special 3 book set from Waterbook Multnomah!

About the Author: Lisa is the of more than thirty books, including The Captain's Bride, The Busy Mom's Devotional, and the God Gave Us children's book series. About the Illustrator: Laura studied painting, printmaking, and sculpture at the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore. She has illustrated numerous award-winning children’s books, including God Gave Us You Smudge Bunny, and If You Were My Baby. Laura lives in Asheville, North Carolina.

Review: We reviewed God Gave Us the World last month. Like that book, when we read God Gave Us Heaven and God Gave Us Love, Kiddo had alot of questions and thoughts as we read them. These books are SO great to teach morals, ethics, manners and faith! Even a 3 year old can comprehend the simple lessons. Setting the books within a family of bears makes them very accessible to younger kids.While Kiddo has not had anyone or an animal close to her die, I feel this book will give her a good foundation for understanding Heaven and God's love after we die. I highly recommend this book as a Baptismal/Christening gift, or as a gift for your child/grandchild when they start Sunday School!
