Earlier this year we reviewed Kiddo's favorite game, Spot It! from Blue Orange Games, and I am quite pleased to bring you another selection from their 'tin'series that is just as much fun!

Tell Tales GameTell Tales draws inspiration from 120 inspiring images (on 20 cards), featuring iconic characters like wizards and princesses, settings like a castle and forest, and fantastic creatures such as unicorns and dragons, will guide players through their own unique tale. Players can weave fanciful stories ranging from the romantic to the preposterous. Make up your own enchanting fairy tale or create a communal story with others. The story possibilities are as limitless as your imagination!

Perfect for bedtime, parents can use Tell Tale Fairy Tales as a tool for telling unique bedtime stories.

The game helps with language and listening skills, along with teaching creativity and self-expression! It has won numerous awards already!

Kiddo loved this game from the moment we opened it! Here are 2 examples:

The cards:

Her story:

Once upon a time, a great knight found a treasure map. It lead him to a carnival, where he had to shoot his arrow, then he went a castle while it was storming. At the castle he found a genie, who gave him a ride on a magic carpet to find the harp from the map. When he found the harp and played it a pretty princess appeared to marry him!

tell tales sample 2
Her story:

Once upon a time there was a queen and king who lives on a beanstalk. One day they were visited by a parrot with a magic wand, who took their baby and turned her into a frog. They put her in a castle to keep her from jumping away. One day a handsome knight climbed the castle walls and found a magic pumpkin on the top. he rubbed it and said a wish and the castle turned into a candy cottage and the princess was inside!

Yes, the cards mix up aspects of favorite tales (and cartoon movies)- but they are ones your kids will understand and be able to construct a tale from quite easily! We had alot of fun with pulling a card and one of us starting a story, then the other person drawing a card, and continuing the tale, and on and on. We ended up with some pretty hilarious tales! I think it would be great to record some of the tales, and save them for years later, when your child's writing skills have matured, and compare them!

As a parent, I love that the game is compact and we can take it anywhere! Even in the car! And you can't beat the price!
