Welcome to Book 5 of the If Your Were me and Lived in...series!
Let's travel to Kenya! Number five in this exciting series travels to Africa to learn about the thrilling country of Kenya. This extraordinary book "If You Were Me and Lived in...Kenya- A Child's Introduction to Cultures Around the World" explores life for children on a new continent. The book touches on many familiar topics such as names, money, games, and food as well the sites and sounds that come with living in Africa.
Miss Grace was overjoyed to see another book (and flag!) in the mail for her from Carole! She adores these books and learning about other places and people! I was glad to have the Pronunciation key for this book, as there were about 6 words I needed assistance with! The illustrations are bright and cheerful, and Miss Grace adored the giraffe page numbers! We had quite a good discussion on the things that are similar to our culture (BBQ!) and not (living by the National Reserve with lions and giraffes!).She's eager to take the book to school and share with her classmates, as one of their bible missions, has sent bible to Kenya, so it will be a great way for them to put the people of Kenya into focus!
This is a superb series and we can't recommend it highly enough!
