And now for another great video, perfect for adding to the Easter basket!

The Jungle Book was a childhood favorite of mine, so I was happy to see The Jungle Book 2 come out,
and I'm thrilled the Blu-Ray/Digital multi-pack if now available!

This new digital master of The Jungle Book 2, is now wilder than ever in breathtaking high definition!
Now that Mowgli’s living in the “man-village,” he cherishes his new best friend and little brother, but he still has that jungle rhythm in his heart. He misses hanging out with happy-go-lucky Baloo the bear and Bagheera the panther. Yearning for freedom, Mowgli runs off into the jungle – and encounters his enemy Shere Khan! This time, he’ll need both his new human family and his old jungle friends to help save the day.
Bonus Features:
DELETED SCENES – On-camera intros to each song with EVP, Sharon Morrill and SVP/Music, Matt Walker. “I GOT YOU BEAT” song cut to storyboard & “BRAVER” song cut to storyboard
MUSIC AND MORE – Sing Along with music videos: for “JUNGLE RHYTHM” and “W-I-L-D”
BACKSTAGE DISNEY – Synopsis of The Original Movie – The Jungle Book (short recap of the first story) & The Legacy of The Jungle Book – discover how the original animated film influenced the look, feel and story of the new movie
Packed with humor, suspense and fun, this thrilling musical adventure will be on of the “Bare Necessities” of your Disney movie collection!

Miss Grace loves movies with music (why we have watched a certain 'chilly' movie 10 times in 6 days!), that she can sing (very loudly) along with! So she was thrilled with this DVD and all the great songs, like WILD. I love that you don't have to watch the movie again to hear the song again, but can go to the bonus features and click on the videos. This is something new to recent Disney DVDs and one parents like me, wholeheartedly are fans of! I also love the digital movie option, which allows us to pull the video up whenever we're out and about, and need to keep the kids occupied (like on vacation! No dragging half your library with you!).

The movie is a great follow up- sometimes you worry about how the original characters will adapt to a part two. No worries, the characters remain true to themselves, as we loved them in The Jungle Book. I had fun trying to figure out who all the voices were (as most of the original star who had voiced the characters are deceased, new actors had to be picked).. Some were easy like John Goodman, others like Haley Joel Osment and Tony Jay were not! They all got into their characters, and I would guess that they all lvoed the original movie, as the voice inflections are very close!

This was a wonderful family movie, and we highly recommend it !

Now check out what the new high definition looks like:

  1. We have to get this one. My grandson watched it almost daily with me for the longest time (the original). We would always sing The Bare Necessities song since we heard it so many times.
