Who is Brandi Carlisle you might ask?

I did too, until One2One Network sent me an invite to check out her NEW cd coming out TODAY!

Washington state native Brandi Carlile was inspired to pick up the guitar and learned to play after seeing the Indigo Girls in concert at Lilith Fair.  Her last album, The Story, debuted on Billboard's Top 200, peaking at #2 on iTunes and was named one of VH1's "You Oughta Know" artists in addition to having many of her songs featured on various episodes of "Grey's Anatomy". She's toured with the likes of Ray Lamontagne, Dave Mathews Band and Sheryl Crow, who raved about Brandi's live performances, "She has the most amazing voice I may have ever heard. Soulful. Country. Perfect in every way and propelled by taste."

The recording of Give Up The Ghost presented the realization of a dream for Brandi – the opportunity to work with her idol, Elton John.  “Brandi has an amazing voice,” he says. “She’s a great songwriter and has a tremendous career ahead of her.”

Give Up The Ghost was recorded at Sunset Sound in Hollywood, birthplace of legendary recordings by The Doors and Led Zeppelin. The first single, “Dreams,” was written with her longtime bandmates, twin brothers Tim and Phil Hanseroth.

WOW is the best I can say- this sounds like a tenth album, not a third. It is SO smooth. Everything is just PERFECT.I can't remember liking an album so much since Ethridge's 'Yes I Am' for taking me to the brink of Indie/Rock/Blues- there is SO much emotion here that you will be tranfixed! You'll want to put this one on frequent flyer on your cd player! I can't wait to tell all my friends to check out this new (to us) artist- give her a try- you'll like her!
