We have a super advent calendar wooden box type that we bought last year and begun using for our daughter this year. I was in a hurry and didn't feel like cutting the candy canes which for some odd reason came 2 to a small pack in a box of 100 (no cluse as to why that brand just does...), when I put them in the boxes.
Darling Daughter goes and opens the door and shrieks of joy can be heard. She comes running to Meme with her prize and was told she "could only have one, the other one would be put up for later."
She shakes her head and says " No, Meme, THAT one is for Baby Jesus when he comes on his birthday".......
Sometimes they get more out of stories than you think!
Then this weekend when we were at church, she sees the nativity with Mary, Joseph and Baby Jesus.
She looks at it, looks at me, looks back at it, and says "Momma, Baby Jesus Needs a Candy Cane"......
ahhhhh the thought process of a 2yr old !!!!!!!!!
