Get crafty and help a child...........Project Night Night

Remember the New Year New Self Program, and how in there it was to learn something new?
What about if you just haven't done a favorite hobby in a long time (kids can do that to ya)?
So how about getting out those knitting or crochet needles, or pulling out ye old sewing machine
and making a difference while you have fun and DESTRESS?

Thanks to Red Heart yarn, I recently became aware of Project Night Night....

Project Night Night donates over 25,000 packages a year to homeless children who need childhood essentials to feel secure. Each package includes a blanket [new, sewn, crocheted, or knitted], a children’s book and a stuffed animal inside a canvas tote bag. See pix on right. Is it not just the CUTEST thing???? By providing
objects of reliable comfort, Project Night Night  reduces trauma and advances the emotional and cognitive well-being of the children who receive the bags..

Project Night Night works with over 10,000 volunteers a year to provide comfort to homeless children throughout the US.

Not crafty? It's ok, you can SPONSOR a package, starting at only $20. Payment is sent thru Paypal, so it's super easy!

What a great idea for a Brownie, Boy Scout or Camp Fire troop to take on, don;t you think?

Project Night Night prefere to receive the blankets at their address instead of to the shelters they serve. Any donated blankets will be included in the Night Night Packages. They can be shipped to:
