Stearns Puddle Jumpers Life Jacket Product Review

puddle jumper life jacket
Daughter has reached the age where she doesn't like wearing the all in 1 lifevest/swimsuit combos and the small arm floaties haven't worked well for her, so we were not sure where to go next.

But then I saw a few blogs offering giveaways of the Stearns Puddle Jumpers Life Jacket! AHA, a solution was found! I trust Stearns, as they are the maker of the life vest she uses when she goes fishing with Papa! Naturally I tried to win one and didn't get lucky! So when were at Kmart last week, I went ahead and picked her up one.

As you can see, she picked the "pretty boy" bird one. I thought the frog was cuter, but she was adament, so birdie came home with us! I llove the life jacket due to:

swimming with vest 2swimming with vest
  • Life jacket offers great stability and confidence building while in the water- as you can see- she's actually attempting to 'swim/float'
  • Allows free range of motion, great for child safety (daughter really likes the puddle jumper MUCH better than the old swimsuit vests- she moved around the pool like a fish!)
  • Buckles in the back, making it easier to put on and take off (big time easy- I love that it can be taken off quickly, but is hard for a child to reach around to unhook)
  • One size, Fits 30-50 lbs (the jacket fits her perfectly and should last til next summer!)
  • Type V US Coast Guard Approved Life Jacket with Type III performance
I highly recommend the Puddle Jumpers for all the little swimmers in your house- they definitely instill confidence and help keep your child afloat with NO problems! Even if you're in the pool with them, a child can go under the water and drown in mere seconds! With the Puddle Jumper you know they are going to come right back up and be safe!

Disclosure: I bought the Puddle Jumper on my own, and all thoughts and comments are also my own, and are based on our experience with the product. I was not told how to review the item by Stears, or Kmart, nor offered any compensation for the post!
