Last month I told you about New Orleans' own Lauren Thom who had raised over $17,000 thru her sales (as of June 18th) of her special "Rescue Me" Fleurty Girl t-shirts, to help save the wildlife affected by the oil spill, via the Audubon’s Louisiana Marine Mammal and Sea Turtle Rescue Program.
So it was a special treat to meet Lauren and her compadres at the New Orleans Audubon Institute Aquarium Sealebration and be able to donate to the cause by buying some of the Rescue Me T-Shirts!
Daughter gave her an extra thumbs up for having the bubble machine at her booth and laughing at her jumping and catching antics!
You can still get the shirts on the Fleurty Girl website and keep helping out the cause! Just cause the oil isn;t visible in the Gulf, doesn't mean it still isn't in our marshes- the animal STILL need us! Lauren has some great oil spill shots on their Facebook site! They have adult unisex sizes, women's sizes and kids sizes, even onesies!!! If you don't want a t-shirt, you can contribute on the Audubon site as well, with any amount you wish!
You can follow Fleurty Girl on Twitter and Facebook! And don't forget to check out their other great NO tshirts, earrings and fun stuff!
As you can see, somebody was very happy with her shirt and wanted to wear it the next day! She even had a bow that was 'spotted' like a turtle, which made her very happy!
