Kiddo had a blast and made it thru the day just fine (unlike Mom!!) ! I was worried as she had NEVER been away form home without one of us for that long (they go all day, like the rest of the school)! But Ms "I AM the life of the party" did just fine, and was so tired when she got in the car, she asked if she could take a nap on the sofa when she got home!
I had given daughter a heart necklace in the morning and told her is she was nervous or missing us, she just had to touch it and remember that we all loved her very much and would see her soon. Apparently it worked (maybe a little too well?? LOL). Don't you love the oxfords you have on? No time needed to break them in, fit perfectly and daughter adores them. Mom loves the toe cap to protect the feet and the shoes! Not to mention how CUTE and nostalgic they look!
I surprised Darling Daughter with a gift pack as a 'way to go' for making it thru the day! Full of small toys, her favorite snacks, a pack of balloons and a Blues Clue video, she was a very happy camper and it gave me a great chance to start a tradition in our family! Papa then surprised her with an ice cream cone on the way home. She was a VERY happy camper, and after a 'rest' on the sofa watching her new Blues Clues video, decided she really wanted to go to school tomorrow. YEAH!
