Have you ever seen Shaun the Sheep? It follows an adorable claymation sheep and his many adventures. I think my hubby enjoys it more than our daughter at times!
While the it's production company, Aardman Animations, has a NEW show that has premiered this week on Disney Channel's Playhouse Disney: Timmy Time.
Timmy Time is Aardman’s first animated television project for the preschool audience. Timmy Time follows the adventures of Timmy, a little lamb with a lot to learn as he enters preschool. Fans of Aardman’s hit children’s series Shaun the Sheep will recognize Timmy as the baby lamb on the farm who is frequently drawn into all kinds of chaotic adventures by the mischievous older sheep (typical of siblings, right?). Used to having his way by being “the only lamb in the flock,” Timmy is now heading to preschool to graze on some important life lessons about playing nice,
I wish this series had been available at the beginning of summer! It is the perfect way to introduce your child to the concepts at preschool- sharing, doing things at a set time, cleaning up after oneself, taking turns, etc. I like that the adults on the show speak in animal talk (like on Charlie Brown), as it forces kids to make the decision as to what is right or wrong in the situation. Daughter loved the 2 episodes we watched on the preview disc and she was quick to tell me what Timmy was doing WRONG! AHA- preschool is working! LOL
Daughter is now in love with Timmy and his fellow preschoolers and I love that the show teaches right and wrong, so I am quite happy to let her keep watching. Check out the Disney Playhouse Disney website for local broadcast time in your area and check it out!
Then go to the Playhouse Disney website and you can download some great Activites- Including coloring pages of ALL the Timmy Time characters, and some great Timmy Time games!
Check out Timmy and I'm sure your family will love him as much as ours does!!
