We recently received an email offer of a FREE photo book from Picaboo and I was happy to oblige and test out their unique photo book editing system and see how well they compare with Snapfish and Shutterfly, both of whom, I have ordered photo books from before.
I couldn't have been more pleased with the ease and simplicity of designing a photo book using Picaboo’s free software! While I had to upload photos, I found that after I understood how I could pool background designs from all the different book possibilities (different from Snapfish and Shutterfly!), I found I could design a better and more personal book to me. It also reminded me more of scrapbooking in a way!
I received the Large Classic photo book within 4 days of submitting it! yes, I said that right FOUR days. Was I super excited? Yep! Was kiddo even more excited? Double yep! (Sorry the gorgeous blue cover didn't photo well with my pocket camera- it's a great shade of navy blue! As you can see it has the peekaboo cover to the first/title page. The page has an adorable school pencil/crayon/paintbrush background!
You see, I designed a book around her first 2 weeks of school. Now while I am obviously scrapbooking this momentous occasion to death (LOL), I wanted kiddo to have a book she could keep in HER room and that I would not have any worries about, it was ALL hers. She LOVED it and was amazed to see herself in a 'real book'! Yippee! Again, sorry the colors didn't photo well (if I used flash I got glare and you couldn't see and as you can see the suppressed flash wasn't working well either!), but the left page is a gorgeous sky blue block background and the right pages is a lovely goldenrod color. These are also the school colors and I used them throughout the book, about every 4th set of pages.
