Product Review: The Sunshine Kids Seat shade

Hello Baby Direct has come to the rescue AGAIN for me this week!

When kiddo got into her new 'preschool carseat' she decided that she no longer liked the sun-blocking film on the window of my truck and kept peeling it off. As you have to clean both before you can put it back on again, it's a pain every time! So I've been looking for a better solution.

Then along came Hello Baby Direct and the IDEAL SOLUTION!

The Sunshine Kids Seat shade is a shade that is made both for your carseat AND for your stroller! AHA, multi-tasking we love! It has a dual-fabric construction which blocks the sun from above and behind, while the solar mesh sides filter the sun's glare without blocking the view. It fits all car seats (most strollers) and attaches securely in seconds. The pop-open design (be careful of that when taking out of the box though- it can be like a jack in the box-LOL) always holds its shape and it is designed to flip back out of the way when not in use.

As you can see from above- kiddo LOVES her new shade! She was surprised when she got picked up from school and it was installed and the window film gone (it was sunny the first day I picked her up with it-raining when I needed to take pix for review, naturally...). But once she sat back in her seat, she was quick to tell me how nice it was and by the time we got home, I was informed that I needed 2 more- one each for the other cars!

We have a Mia Moda stroller and the shade fits very similar to the one pictured above. Except, I put it under the stroller canopy, as ours is pretty long to the front. It definitely helps on keeping the sun off the side. AND the best thing is because it clips onto the carseat in less than 10 seconds, I can take it off once we get to a festival site and put it on her stroller for the day, then vice-versa when we get back to the car! AND if we don't need it, it can fold up to about 10" by 14" and can slide in a purse or car seatback! YEAH

At about $15 US, with shipping, I will definitely be looking at getting a couple more of these, so we can leave them in each car! They are well worth the money and I wish I had gotten them when kiddo was an infant, as they can go from infancy to she gets beyond her booster car seats! WHAT a buy!
