Pumpkin Patch Time on the Northshore

We don't have a whole lot of pumpkin patch choices on the Northshore (or southshore) for that matter in the Greater New Orleans area.

But we do have Red Bluff Farm in Folsom, about 30 minutes north of Lake Ponchartrain!

AND oh what fun it was! Kiddo had a blast, unparalled by that of her Papa!

The farm is a FULL working farm and during the Saturdays in October when they are opened to the public, they not only have a LARGE pumpkin patch, they have a pond and free fishing (catch and release), hay rides, farm tours led by the owner, face painting, crafts, wonderful BBQ, fresh kettle corn and tractor motor made ice cream, feeding of calves, a small petting area for smaller animals, carriage rides, a hay maze, bee exhibit, sunflower and corn fields, AND a booth selling jam and honey made on the farm, as well as other goodies!
WHEW. Yup, you can count on a minimum of 3-4 hours!

Red Bluff is the perfect experience for city kids, and one that we will be making into an annual event! Check out their website for more info for next year, and now I'm gonna 'bore' ya with some photos!
