It is a local tradition to decorate a tableau in your yard with hay bales, scarecrow and pumpkins, the weeks before our county fair. They do go around judging them, if you sign up. As you can imagine, competition can get fierce!
Kiddo saw one go up across the street and wanted to know why we didn't have one, and then demanded her own scarecrow. What a difference a year makes- last year she was scared to death of them!
So here's our scarecrow and friends. I took pix without the new flag, which is Woodstock on pumpkins, with saying of Gather Friends!
We also added some chrysanthemums and more pumpkins the next day- it was just too bare!
Now it's overflowing with goodies!
