Something new for this blog today! A Video game!

In the perfect timing that PR firms can have, my daughter saw a commercial for the new EA Games Littlest Pet Shop 3, Biggest Stars for Nintendo DS, and informed me we need to get it, and then the next morning I had an email offer of a copy for review! FREAKY!

Now video games are my husband's milleu- while I don't mind them, they just aren't really my thing- too complicated- give me an Atari and we're good!  HA HA. But I had him pull the DS out of the drawer and charged it and got it ready!

Kiddo was VERY anxious to try the game by herself, but as she's 3, I played with her 'help' instead! 

Synopsis:  Harmony the famous dancing dog is at it again. Dancing his way into the hearts of little girls everywhere and heading to the Littlest Pet Shop to put together a brand new team for competition. Team Purple Petals, Team Pink Hearts, and Team Blue Stars are ready for competition in ten fun and challenging mini games are your pets’ tickets to the big time.

Fashion show, designers, gymnastics, catwalk studios, bark parks, bakeries and so much more. Get the latest news on Littlest pet shop at the town hall and see all the special awards you've earned.  Got a passion for fashion? Get ready to dress your pets to look their best.

At the end of each game you get to spin three times for a prize at the Prize twirl. Win fun prizes like jelly fish for kitty's, treats, accessories, and new fabric to make outfits. Use icons at the bottom of the touch screen to interact with your pet or blow into the microphone to send your pet a kiss.

Review: Overall this is a decent game for young children. I think it would truly appeal to older girls, say 6-10. Kiddo liked the searching and winning prizes, but got bored with feeding and accessorizing her pet. She is more action/solution game orientated, so in some ways, the game was just not to her liking.

We didn't look at the instructions, just picked it up and played (one of the benchmarks for a good game in my book). I think older kids (girls especially) would love all the extras and competition/dancing involved.
