Product Review: Whirl-A-Style Hair Accessory

Have you ever watched movies about the 40s, where everyone had these sleek roll up hair styles and you thought WOW, how did they get it to look so great? Years ago (don't ask how long and I won't hurt you!) when a bunch of us dressed up in 40s styled clothing, we sought out a professional hair and make up stylist and she was able to put our hair up in some great buns and rolls, but there was no way we could have done them ourselves (and no, no photo, it was Halloween, we were all single, enough said, right??)

Well FINALLY a product has come along that allows us to make those sleek hairstyles at HOME! By OURSELVES! Yippee! Professional, neat looking hair in minutes- I'm all about that!

whirl-a-style

Whirl-a-Style is a hairstyling product that addresses the versatile needs of women with active “on the go” lifestyles. This is a useful and easy device that allows the hair to be pulled back in a twist or bun, without the use of bobby pins, or claw clips. Each Whirl-a-Style Hairstyler device has a special slit through the center of the product where the hair is pulled, then rolled and styled as desired. Its simple, unique design does not pull hair or add weight to the head, both of which have been known to cause discomfort and headaches, with other products.

Whirl-a-Style Hairstylers are made from a synthetic material which grips the hair without tangling it. They do not damage hair, as some of the tight twists and knots can do. Whirl-a-Style has proven to be effective for people in the military, airlines and all other uniformed occupation,s where there is a need to keep your hair up while on active duty. Whirl-a-Style is also in demand by the dance industry, where a dancers hair must be kept up while performing. If you live in the South, you're gonna want one of these to keep in the car for instant updos when the weather gets too humid!

Within mere minutes of receiving the Whirl-a-style, I was able to make a nice circular loop bun that stayed UP without falling, for over an hour, with no problem!

Now I have to admit for the French twist, I had to watch the YouTube video, as the instructions didn't quite show enough on the package! Check it out below and see HOW easy it is! Now you do need a couple of bobby pins to make sure it stays in, but that's alot better than normal. I think the last time we did mine for a Mardi Gras event it took about 30 bobby pins!

The Whirl-a-Stylers come in 4 sizes from Small to Jumbo- their website has pictures so you can determine which size you need based on the model's hair length! I was sent the Large and as you can see it worked just fine. As it is Fall (WOO_HOO), my hair is back to being FLAT (Yippee), so I could have used the medium one. What I did find was that because I have layered hair, I have pieces that wont stay in when I pull the Whirl-a-Style to the end of my hair. I found that by pulling my hair into a pony tail and twisting one time, I was better able to get my hair to stay in the Whirl-as-Style. It's not super sleek, but it's better than the first go round!

The Whirl-a-Style is perfect for formal occasions, everyday use and even for speciality events like Halloween!
