Thanks to RMD Advertising, as you know, we were recently introduced this to a WONDERFUL brand of tomato products, Dei Fratelli.
Today Mom is sharing her excellent Quickie Salsa recipe with everybody!
We made a batch with the Dei Fratelli Mexican Tomatoes we were sent, but I forgot to take a pix! SO SORRY!
The recipe can easily be doubled/tripled and canned and given as wonderful Christmas presents! You can make it as spicy or mild as the recipient would like! Making it an all-purpose gift!
Mom's Quickie Salsa
4 cans of Dei Fratelli 14.5 oz Chopped Mexican Tomatoes
1/2 cp holy trinity (red and green bell peppers, white onion in equal amount, diced)
1/2 cp purple onion, diced
1-2 jalapenos peppers, diced (more if you like it hotter)
optional: more black pepper and diced fresh cilantro (both to taste)
1. Mix all ingredients together, lightly.
2. Put in jars or containers, cover tightly and put in fridge to get very cold.
3. If serving for a party, put salsa in a bowl, then put ice in bigger bowl, and place bowl of salsa on top of the ice. Serve with tortilla chips or scoops!
SEE simple and quick- you can make a ton of this in one afternoon and finish all your gift making!
ENJOY!
