Freddi loves to play and Freddi loves to eat. And one day, when the family went away, Freddi’s naughty bone got tickled.

And you know what happens when Freddi’s naughty bone gets tickled!

About Freddi:

Freddi is actually a real dog. Freddi’s full name is Fredericka and her owners are author’s Lisa and Randy Herman. Everyone thinks Freddi is a boy dog because of her name, she is actually a girl!! She is an English Bull Terrier who is 11 years old. In dog years she is 77 years old. Freddi’s favorite things to do (when she has free time) is to eat, eat again, and eat some more.

About the Authors: Lisa and Randy met three years ago and got married on August 8, 2009. Lisa was born in England (she has a cool accent) and moved to California 14 years ago. When Lisa came to California she was a cosmetologist. Randy was born in California and has lived there his whole life. He is a special education teacher in the Tustin Unified School District. They live in Corona, California. They are working on Freddi’s next adventure.     For more information visit www.FredditheDog.com

Review: Kiddo immediately claimed this book before I even had it all the way out of the envelope! With the new dog, anything with a dog or puppy is instant love for her! To say the book had her rolling on the floor laughing with delight is an understatement.

We read it the night it came in at bedtime and she laughed hysterically!  It was pretty hard getting her to bed afterwards! The book is great on SO many levels. The humor is funny to kids AND adults. The subject matter of a dog that can go wild just once, will resonate with many a preschooler as an episode in THEIR life,. AND the way that taking a dog to the Vet is handled is wonderfully done and easy for kids to understand. Marley was 2 day back from being spayed, so the timing was great to read this book for her to comprehend what the dog had gone through!

I must warn you though, by the time you get to the page with the "itsy, teensy" quote, you may start channeling Robin Williams', aka Happy Feet, voice for your narration. Especially if you've recently seen that movie. But you will really enjoy and delight in this book! I highly recommend it as a superb Christmas present for all kids!
