Ya'll know that the indomitable Kyra Sedgwick’s won an Emmy in 2010 for Best Actress in a Leading Roll on The Closer, so you KNOW the show is QUALITY stuff, right? (PS, TNT, I love the marketing campaign- very cool!)

The Closer, which is enjoying growth this year as it continues to rank as ad-supported cable’s #1 series of all time, stars Kyra Sedgwick as Deputy Police Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson, head of the LAPD’s Major Crimes unit. In addition to Sedgwick’s newest Emmy, the show has also earned three SAG Award nominations for Outstanding Ensemble in a Drama Series for Sedgwick, Corey Reynolds, G.W. Bailey, Tony Denison, Raymond Cruz, Michael Paul Chan and Phillip P. Keene, as well as Jon Tenney, J.K. Simmons and Robert Gossett.

That's right, the entire cast is as decorated as their characters on the show! Quality speaks on this show!

Season 6 has been a doozy, full of ups and downs, and unexpected turns, with the LAPD on the hunt for a new chief of police, Assistant Police Chief Will Pope is now out of the running, but Brenda is still in. meaning more stress and tension between them and the unit.Robbery-Homicide Commander Taylor (Gossett), smelling a possible promotion for himself, is more cooperative and helpful to the unit than ever before, even though he can't even seem to wrangle an office of his own in the new facility.With Fritz as the new LAPD FBI Liason Officer, things get more convoluted for Brenda at home as well. It's "arresting tv" (pun intended!) in every sense of the word!
