Did Santa not bring you what you really wanted for Christmas?
(I'm guessing an ornament strewn reindeer wasn't your choice either, right???)

Well, you're in luck!

This week I'm hosting a few great giveaways on items that Santa SHOULD have brought you!

black rapid RS WS-1 ad
I came across this Black Rapid camera product a few weeks before Christmas and was wowed by the simplicity and original design and had to contact the company! I was super thrilled when they not only offered a strap for review, but one a giveaway to one of my readers! WOO HOO!

As you know- I love to take pictures of Kiddo and special activities we go to. I also love to taken what would be considered 'art' pictures and don;t know what I did before my Fuji SLR camera. Oh wait, yeah I do- I had a Canon AE-1- which I can't find film/developing for anymore- waaah!

The one thing I have found, since having Kiddo, was lugging a SLR camera on my arm, along with baby bag, purse and baby seat, left alot to be desired. Then there was keeping it IN the baby bag, which meant not being able to pull it out quickly (a primary reason why I got a Samsung cell phone- it takes pretty decent pictures and fits in my pocket). Padded handmade straps weren't any better than the one that came with my Fuji camera.

Part of the award winning R-Strap line, the RS-W1 is the world's first camera strap that focuses on the perfect fit for the female. While maintaining the traditional "Built for Speed" design, the designers added a sleek curve highlighted with an elegant but slight pattern accent This helps the strap angle down the bust better AND stay n place- with the added bumpers, it keeps camera hip bobble to a minimum! The RS-W1 provides all in one universal (for women!) comfort, durability and speed of use, along with graceful styling!

black rapid RS WS-1 toggle close upThe black floral pattern is very nice and the ruggedness of the strap means it will LAST! I LOVE this strap! Once you have it probably fitted to you and your camera locked down for ease, it sits comfortably down your bustline and makes grabbing your camera easy and quick when the sudden shot comes up! Your bags and even you baby seat can be carried in one hand.

The strap hooks onto your camera via the screw mount on the bottom of your camera (the strap is universal and fits all SLR cameras. Then you just adjust the strap to your preference. You can swing your camera up in a moment, or unhook it from the strap using the screw key, VERY quickly. I love that this strap is quickly changed, so if you are doing say a St Nicholas photo shoot and you have 2 photographers switching out using the same camera, it only takes a minute to change the length.

Watch the following video with LaRae Lobdell, of Lifework Images (Seattle, WA) and PhotoSister.com, demonstrating how to personalize the strap, and you'll see JUST how easy to use it is!

Now it WILL take you some time to get used to the strap actually FITTING you correctly, but once you do, you'll wonder what you ever did without it! Also, I do recommend watching the video all the way through once when you have your strap in your hand, so you can see what parts she means, then watch a second time, with pausing to alter your strap to where you need it to be. After that you'll have the hang of changing it with no problem! Sorry, no pix of me wearing the strap- they just didn't come out right, trying to self-take! But I think the pictures above give you some good ideas about how well designed it is!

Let me repeat- you will love this strap, NO MATTER what your level of experience. From amateurs to pros, you NEED this strap! Once you use it, you will never go back!

Oh and guys- Black Rapid has lots of straps that you'll love too- check out their website!
