MOST, the Czech word for “The Bridge,” is a fitting title for this 21st-century parable about a loving father, his young son, and the fateful day when they attempt to head off an impending rail disaster. Hundreds of passengers aboard an oncoming steam train are completely unaware of the danger that looms as they head toward an open drawbridge. As a desperate young woman witnesses an act of mercy beyond imagination, her life is changed forever—as are the lives of all who see this film. Both heart wrenching and glorious, MOST vividly portrays the greatest offering of love, sacrifice, hope, and forgiveness known to man.

The film makers heard a story about a father who sacrificed his son, to keep a train from derailing, and going into the river, and an idea for a film was begun. 3 years, 3 countries, lots of hardships and numerous last second blessings, they had a film that jumped off the screen and encompassed everything in the meaning of the word DRAMA.
The movie was not meant as a example of John 3:16 ("For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."), yet that is what it became. This movie will grab you immediately, even with the subtitles (you can select subtitles on Czech only, which I highly recommend), and not let you go til the final ending.
Just as TNT says they know drama, this movie IS DRAMA encapsulated in 30 minutes. You will laugh, you will smile, you will recognize a parent's love for their child, you will sympathysize with a sister's love and begging of her sibling, you will remember your college days, you will worry about what may happen, you will hope against hope, you will pray, you will cry, you will feel a father's loss, a father's loneliness, and then you will find hope. Yes, all in 30 minutes. I wasn't sure if I would like this short movie, due to the subject matter, but WOW. You will be BLOWN away by the actors. The script wrote most of itself on location, per the screenwriters. Their experiences with the actors molded the movie. You will feel you have stepped into life of the characters in the movie, as the actors ARE the characters.
I recommend watching the movie, then going and watching the Video Diaries. Not only do they give you a good idea about how movies are made, it is entertaining and really brings more depth to the movie, and your take from it. In fact, I suggest watching the movie again a couple of days later. You will see how much more wonderful it is.
This movie should be seen by everyone, both Christian and not. It is truly moving and will make you realize what movies SHOULD be. Beverly Hills Chihuahua, this movie is not. This movie will BE a classic- I put it up there with Gone With the Wind and Apocalypse Now- it will be part of our social consciousness, if we let it. And we should.
Note: This is not a movie for small children, pre-teens and teens should see it with their parents, so there can be discussion about it. It is perfect for bible study and parenting groups.
