After having done the Easter Egg hunt last weekend, Kiddo was psyched to actually DYE some eggs too!
So yesterday evening we got down to business with a dozen and a half, as we learned from the 2 1/2 dozen last year (that we all got sick of eating after day 2!). We went for traditional Paas Toy Story set, LOVE the dye cups by the way!, and stuck with crayon and stickers. NEXT year, we'll get super creative! This year Kiddo just wanted them DONE! LOL.
Getting ready- clothing cover a MUST!
Sorta looks like "trouble, double toil and bubble" doesn't it?
AHA- the first batch is a success, except for red, which came out an odd shade...
Almost done, looking good!
Why is it that BLUE always looks superb,
no matter how long you leave the egg in?
All done! Pulled stickers off one egg, great heart white spots! Yippee-worked!
Started with 18 eggs:
2 cracked while boiling,
2 cracked while being handled by Kiddo pre dye=
14 eggs for hiding and 4 for eating!
When you're dying eggs and pretending to be the Easter Bunny,
ya gotta have the ears too!
Cannibal time! One slightly blue on the interior egg
just became part of dinner!
(She LOVED eating her dyed eggs!)
