Product Review and Giveaway: Stopain Topical Pain Reliever

** this giveaway is closed **

As I've already told you, May is Arthritis Awareness Month!

I thought it fitting to end the month with a great new product that understands it can be difficult to make physical activity part of you daily routine, as recommended for arthritis sufferers, when you are dealing with chronic pain: Stopain!

stopain products

What makes Stopain different? It's ingredients! The active ingredient in Stopain is menthol, recognized by the FDA as an analgesic indicated for the temporary relief for minor pains and stiffness of arthritis, muscle aches, strains and simple backaches. It also contains peppermint oil and eucalyptus oil, recognized by the FDA for their analgesic properties. If your grandmother had a secret formula for her aches and pain, it probably contained all 3 of these ingredients!

Stopain is available in four formulations:

  • Stopain Spray- No drip spray that is clear, non-staining, non-greasy and has a light, vanishing scent. The hands-free application allows you to spray from any angle
  • Stopain Extra Strength Spray- It has the same convenient hands-free application as the regular strength spray, but has 2 % more menthol
  • Stopain Extra Strength Roll-On- This is the item we were sent for review- The rollon has an INSTANT cooling action that really SINKS to the core of the pain literally within 2 minutes! I have chronic shoulder pain, so I love roll-ons for the ease of application without needing help (also for those hard to reach places like the middle of your back, back of your neck). The rollon is no-drip, so no pain reliever going where you don't want it! I was VERY impressed with Stopain for really working right away. The pain did curb the painf or about 2 1/2 hours each time I used it. This is the same amount of time that PT recommended products last, so I was impressed!
  • Stopain Gel- the newest product of the Stopain line. This non-greasy, non-staining formula comes in a tube with an easy-open flip-top cap for easy application. We were also sent a couple of sample packets of the gel. I found it to work just as well as the rollon. I actually wish it came in a box of packets, as it would be the easiest way to take it with you all the time- no worry about a cap coming off, and the packets would fit into your purse very easily!
As an added bonus, I found that with a sinus migraine, if I used the rollon across my sinus area, it ACTUALLY seemed to help open up my sinuses and ease the pain! BONUS! I was uber-thrilled! I was really happy with the Stopain products and will be switching to them, from the more expensive brands I had been using!

All Stopain products are available at major drugstores (like CVS and Walgreens), as well as Walmart, so it is easy to find! Always a plus! Priced from about $6- $12 it is also more economical than the higher priced alternatives! In addition, for every Stopain product sold in 2011, a portion of the proceeds is donated to the Arthritis Foundation  (with a minimum contribution of $25,000). Plus if you buy from their website thru May, they contribute $1 PER product purchased! WOW!
