We were recently sent a sample of Rachel Ray's new Just 6 Nutrish dog food to try via Nutrish and Social Spark.
I loved the packaging, which I am sorry to say we tore into without taking a picture (sorry, BAD blogger!). But I put it back together to show you! Sorta...LOL.
We were sent a one serving trial pack of the food in an adorable paw print dog bowl, tied up in plastic wrap with an adorable dog print bow.
Having a 40 lb plus dog (yes, I know, she got HUGE) , the bowl would have been a play thing for her and before I could think the thought, Kiddo came round the corner and declared it HER snack bowl. Well, ok then....AND she wanted the ribbon made into a bow, so she could have a "Marley bow". Alrighty then, 1 4 yr old happy, now onto the 1 yr old 40 lb puppy!
Rachael Ray Nutrish just 6 dry dog food doesn’t contain any corn, wheat or soy. Lamb meal is the number one ingredient, followed by five other wholesome ingredients: brown rice, dried beef, ground rice, chicken fat and chicken. Also known as a dog's preferred dinner! Add the nutritional vitamins your dog needs in the mix and you've got a dog food that both of you can be happy with!
So I was really interested to see how Marley was going to react, as we have her on Purina Dog Chow now, after keeping her on Purina One Puppy Chow til she reached 14 months.
To say she LOVED the sample was an understatement. She looked at it for all of 30 seconds while she smelled it. Then she literally INHALED it. Then she looked at the bowl in disbelief, that it was all gone. Then she licked the bowl. TWICE. THEN she looked at me and begged for more. Alrighty then, we'll deem it a success in the taste department.
Now if you have dogs you know you can change food on them without them having some sort of stomach upset in the next 48 hours. I am happy to say she had NONE. I would venture to say because it has healthy ingredients made FOR her system. So a success in the digestive department as well!
I love that Nutrish Just 6 is available at our local Walmart- no driving 30 miles to hunt down dog food! I will definitely be considering adding a scoop of Just 6 to Marley's daily food, as a treat! Only because it comes in 6 and 14 lbs bags, and Marley goes through that amount pretty quickly!
