Having a dog is like having a small child in many regards.

When they're puppies, you need training pads (aka diapers), stain remover spray (aka laundry stain remover), gentle shampoos and the inevitable dog hair picker upper!

Luckily Purina has come out with a new line of products in conjunction with the oneCare company that go above and beyond helping you keep your house from smelling and looking like you HAVE a puppy!

dog padsWe were sent 3 of their new products for review:

1. The new Purina Pet Gear Ultra Dry Training Pads feature an exclusive DryStep cover designed to prevent leaks and paw prints from tracking through the house. The pad features an innovative top layer that contains thousands of microfunnels to quickly channel liquid into the middle, where it’s rapidly absorbed and locked away, preventing it from coming back to the surface, even as dogs walk across. The leak-proof backing also protects floors and carpets. The pads are available in 10-count, 20-count and 40-count and come in an easy-to-store box for convenient dispensing.

We were sent a couple of pads to review, and as Marley is not outside and beyond the puppy stage, we used them for our cat box area, as we have a male cat who has gotten so chunky, he has issues with keeping everything in the covered box. We found that the pads really worked well and capturing and holding the urine, AND keeping the smell at bay! Definite success!

dog stain spray
2. Purina Gear Pet Stain & Odor Eliminator, for carpet and upholstery. This new cleaning agent thoroughly removes pet stains and the odors that lead puppies back to the same spots, all without damaging carpet or furniture. The proprietary pro-enzyme formula is a blend of six enzymes that break down stains and eliminate odors naturally, while the 2-in-1 cleaning action lifts pet soils from carpet fibers, for easy removal, while the odor eliminating technology destroys surface odors on contact. Designed for use on carpet, upholstery, pet beds, litter boxes and any water-safe surface, and it is safe for use around children and pets. There are 2 types-regular and Oxy based.

Conveniently enough, the cats decided the day after we received our kit to overeat with the natural results. SIGH...So I pulled out the new spray (regular version) and went to work. I was REALLY impressed with how well the stains came up (trust me, we've tried a whole litany of stain products with 4 cats, 1 dog and 1 kid in the house!). I had pictures to show you, but then accidently erased them off my phone before sending them to myself. Yeah, one of those days! LOL But, as well as it has worked on cat and kid stains (including spilled milk!), I know it will work great on puppy stains!

dog hair roller
3.  The final product we were sent was The Giant Pet Hair Roller. This roller has high performance adhesive technology that easily lifts unwanted pet hair. The convenient giant size roller has 60 sheets, and is refillable/

Again, we have been through just about every roller out there. When you have Golden Retrievers and cats, you always have 2/3 on hand at any given time! We found the Purina roller to very good at picking up hair off upholstery and clothing with minimum pressure. Changing the roll out will be easy, and the sheets tear off very easily!
The full line of Purina Pet Gear includes Oxy Hard Surface Spray, chew deterrent spray, pet shampoos (including Gentle Care Puppy, Deep Deodorizing and Moisturizing Oatmeal) and odor absorbing jars (perfect for the catbox area!).

All in all, we were very impressed with the new Purina line and know you will be too!

You can go to the Purina site and see where you can buy them in your area too!

So what are you waiting for?
