As you know we are on a mission this summer to cut down the amount of sugar Kiddo has been eating and to get her eating healthier, more natural snacks.
We recently received a sampler box of treats from Surf Sweets and I have to tell you, you'll want to add them to your shopping list, if you want great tasting organic candy for your kids!
I had barely opened the package before Kiddo was drawn like a cat to the sound of the can opener (how DOES she know when the package has items for her? It's eerie!). We received sample 9oz. snack packs of :
Fruity Bears- hands down Kiddo's favorite! She adores gummy bears and judges all by the German Haribo standard! These were devoured in about 8.9 seconds. She then came back and wanted more! Which of course she did NOT get, but at only 130 calories per serving, they are definitely better for her than some small candy boxes you can get! Made with organic sweeteners, they have NO corn syrup and are gluten free. They are made from 100% organic fruit juice as well! Six kid friendly flavors per bag!
Surf Sweets products are made with natural colors and flavors, as well as sweeteners, and provide you with your daily allowance of Vitamin C! AHA candy that IS good for you! They use products like black carrots and Tumeric and Annato!) to get their colors naturally! AND most of their line if Vegan and Vegetarian acceptable!
We were also sent a pack of the Jelly Beans. Definitely
Kiddo's 2nd fav! She adores jelly beans, but ONLY certain flavors/colors. But she loved this pack of cherry, grapefruit, strawberry, grape,orange and lemon. Course she handed the lemon ones to the adults to eat, but she inhaled the rest!
Kiddos wasn't too sure about the Gummy Swirls at first. She thought they looked "weird" . They are swirls of cherry, orange and strawberry flavors and do seem odd at first, but once Kiddo started eating them she couldn't stop! They reminded me of creamsicles!
Not on Kiddo's fav list was the pack of Sour Berry Gummy Bears. She is not too keen on sour coating on her Jelly Beans or Gummys. Mom however thought they tasted JUST fine! In fact I found them to be some of the best ones I had ever tasted!
