** we were at the coast this weekend- surprise girlfriend getaway- and I forgot to schedule this before we left! Hotel had no wi-fi working, so I never double checked blog posts, so we're having a LONG weekend and posting this today! LOL **
I love getting new food products to try!
In today's economy, the opportunity to try something you're not sure you family will like or not, without spending alot of money, is VERY appealing!
We were recently sent a Bzz Agent Review kit form Lawry's which included a BBQ Apron, coupons, 2 marinades and a bottle of Season Salt.
Lawry's Season Salt has been my mom's preferred choice of season salt for as long as I can remember! No surprise- the company has been around since the early 1900s in California! So yes, Grandma used it too! Nothing like continuity! We don't use it alot (we are a no-salt unless necessary family!), but in items like Crunch n Munch (Kiddo's name for Chex Mix Party Mix), it's a staple!
Lawry's has over 15 marinades! Who knew?
We were sent their Seasoned Salt Marinade and their Balsamic Herb marinade.
We knew we were gonna have to try the Balsamic Herb first! It has aged balsamic vinegar, extra virgin olive oil and the perfect blend of Italian herbs including basil, rosemary and thyme in it! YUMMY!
We had some pork loin that just called out for the marinade, so we soaked it for about 2 hours. marinating longer really IS better, though not required! All you need with these marines is 30 minutes to get the flavor! Served with pasta and a salad, it was an excellent meal. Plus there was minimum cooking, as the marinade did all the work!
The marinade is also sublime on steak and chicken! We will definitely be buying this one again!
The Original Seasoned Salt Marinade is excellent on chicken breasts that are grilled for sandwiches and on burgers!
How about a great recipe using the Season Salt for Chicken?
Now how about a giveaway?
Winner will win the adorable Lawry's apron, coupons AND a bottle of the Season Salt Marinade! (sorry pix won't upload for some reason- will post it later today (7/25)
