Product Review: Paper Jamz Guitar

PAPER JAMZ GUITAR
This past week, the indulgent grandparents bought Kiddo another musical instrument, to replace the toy drum seat she had pretty much demolished from frequent use.

As we are working on real piano lessons, Meme found out about the PaperJamz guitars, and as they were on sale at our local Family Dollar store, decided Kiddo needed to unleash her inner rock star and rock like Murray (her current favorite Wiggle!).

Paper Jamz provide an instant rock star experience and open-ended play, in one unique inexpensive item! The creative blend of technology and play is made possible with Active Graphics Technology which allows for circuit-embedded paper, enabling you to play like a pro by simply touching the paper surface!

JAMMING 1The guitars come in multiple variations (there are 3 series), to suit boys and girls! Each guitar features four modes for rocking out:

  • Perfect Play: play along with the 3 included hits - talk about girl empowerment- Pat Benatar, Blondie and the Pretenders, aka my teenage years coming back to haunt me!
  • Rhythm mode: control the guitar rhythm for each song -
  • Freestyle: play real chords - practice your guitar solos!
  • Karaoke: Sing and play along with the 3 included songs

Additionally it has a built-in speaker, line-out jack for earphone or amplifier connection (eek-definitely for the older kids) and volume control (great for mom and dad's ears!).

So far the guitar is pretty much on perfect play or freestyle. I am really surprised at how well Kiddo is doing on the freestyle. She has definitely paid attention at concerts and videos! And yes, she LOVES her new guitar. As you can see from the pictures posted here! She is VERY serious when she plays- very cute to watch!

If you have a child into music, you might want to consider one of these guitars for birthday and Christmas presents!
