Product Review: Bikeglow Bike Lights

Well Fall is coming and you know what that means- the days will get shorter. it always takes kids a couple of months to get caught up, and you know the first few weeks they're still gonna be outside when it gets dark. But if they have to ride their bike home from their friend's house, do they have enough light for people to see them by?

Well the solution is at hand: BikeGlow has arrived!

BikeGlow is a slender tube of lights that is wrapped around the frame of the bike and can be set for constant or flashing illumination to ensure that children can be seen on their bikes at all times – even in complete darkness.

BikeGlow comes with just about everything you need to install them in mere MINUTES! The kit had the light, velcro strap, ties and even a small screwdriver. The only thing I needed was 2 double A batteries (which with a 4 yr old in the house we have alot of). The lights wrap around your bike frame in any configuration you would like. We went with a basic wrap, placing the control under the seat, as it is easier for Kiddo to turn on and off.

The lights are waterproof, so you don't have to worry about taking them off after you get done riding! Another plus!. They are pretty bright and you can definitely see them (and Kiddo) coming! Plus the bike can be seen on ALL sides, not just front and back! So much better than 2 small reflectors on the front and back! As you can see, you can really be seen with these lights!

As you can see they are really bright! We were sent the red to review and WOW do they light up even INSIDE (sorry for

bike glow night sample the messy playroom pix-it's been raining and haven't been able to get Kiddo out to take pix outside!)! They have 3 settings- FULL ON, FLASH and STROBE FLASH. All of them are very bright but the strobe flash really catches your eye! Now on a kids bike obviously there is less frame, so it's hard to do a single wrap. I need to rewrap Kiddo's bike and put the lights on the front more. I put the controller under Kiddo's seat, upside down, so even when she's riding, she can reach it and change the lights. The velcro strap/holder really does it's job well!

These lights would also be perfect for Halloween, to wrap around your wagon or cart, that you are pulling the younger Kiddos in- everyone would see you and you would feel alot safer about walking with them too!

The lights come in seven fun colors, so you can coordinate with your bike! You can purchase BikeGlow on their website, and, thru REI, for ONLY $24.95. SO check them out and start thinking ahead to Christmas! These would be perfect for the young kids and the coeds riding their bikes at college!
