Product Review: Proactiv Sheer Finish Concealer Plus

Fall 2011 button

Continuing our makeup product reviews this week, we have a basic that everyone needs:
concealer! Bad concealer can ruin the best makeup application, but great concealer, makes your makeup look flawless and natural!

Today's product comes from a brand we all know: Proactiv!

The new Proactive Concealer Plus Cover covers individual blemishes and make them go away faster with this super-medicated concealer.  The focused dose of 8% acne-fighting sulfur absorbs oil, kills acne bacteria, and speeds up healing time!  The light, oil-free formula is non-comedogenic and it's hygenic applicator makes it easy to use! It's available in four natural shades: Light, Medium, Medium/Dark and Dark.

If you're like me, even though you're WAY past your teens, you still have monthly breakouts! I have a handy tube of salicylic acid for that week, but being to able to combine treating a blemish with covering it, and speeding the healing? Oh yeah, I'm ALL about saving time!

I tried this concealer in Medium, as my skin has an undertone of gold, and fair doesn't cover well. It ended up being the perfect match! YEAH! I also found that it really DID work much quicker than the salicylic acid did for my breakouts! It covered really well and blended perfectly with my all over foundation. Plus, I found when I used it under my eyes one day, when I had forgotten my regular concealer, that it seemed to immediately do away with undereye circles. I'm sure NOT what it was intended for, but nice to know it could do the job in a pinch!

I'm definitely keeping this in my makeup bag, and am looking forward to trying other products in the Proactiv makeup line!
