Thanks to Amazon Vine, we recently got to try a box of the new
Velveeta Cheesy Skillets Ultimate Cheeseburger Macaroni Kit.

The kit comes with everything you need, except for one pound of hamburger.
As it has only makes 5 - 1-cup servings, we decided to make if for lunch, as it wouldn't be enough for 4 adults and 1 4 yr old who adores cheesy mac!

For a change, we had no small packs of hamburger, or cooked hamburger left in the freezer, so I opted instead for a one pound pack of sausage that we had in the freezer instead. We regularly switch them out, so I figured since it was seasoned, it would probably add to the taste, as these kits tend to be pretty bland!

It was very simple to fry up the pork, and since it was so lean, it did not need to be drained, and then add all the pasta, seasoning packet and water to the pan. After a quick covered boil, all that was left was to add the Velveeta sauce! All in all it took less than a half hour and made up a pretty tasty lunch!

My only quibble is that you need to keep an eye on when it is boiling. Ours was done in 9 minutes, not 11, as per the box. So don't leave it, or it might get too dry and burn!

We ate it without any side serving, but for dinner I would serve a side salad and rolls with it. It was quite tasty and I would definitely make it again, just do 2 boxes for all of us for dinner!

The cheesy skillets line comes in 4 flavors: this one we tried,  Nacho Supreme, Zesty BBQ Chicken, and Chicken and Broccoli. Definitely check them out- your family will LOVE them!
