Book Review and Giveaway: Home Front by Kristin Hannah

Today's read is the perfect Veteran's Day review!

home front cover

It's focus is on a military family:

Mom needed another book to read, having been down sick for a couple of weeks, so she eagerly grabbed this one when it came in, so here's her review!

Review: This a good and quick read, which I finished on a quiet afternoon! being that hubby is a retired Navy veteran, I could relate to this book in many ways. Even without the tragedy that befalls this family- they take a beating that is hard to overcome. It is hard for a spouse to stay at home, and have their other half away, whether it is 6 weeks, 5 months, or a year, or more,it is hard on everyone, including the kids. It is not an easy job for either spouse.

Hannah keeps the story going and it never flags. She knows what really happens to our wounded soldiers when they come home. Their transition is not always easy, but with help, we can make the adjustment easier and emotionally better for them, and their families. The true hero is the fallen soldier, who died with courage and honor and dignity for all Americans.

I highly recommend this book, as a true story and education about the lives of a military family!
