Fun Fall Activities for the Family

fall family activities

Now that fall is here it is the perfect opportunity for the family to spend quality time together. There are many activities that are more enjoyable now that cooler temperatures are here. Here are a few ideas that your family might like to try.
  • Visit a farm - Local farms often open their farms to the public for fun activities. So put on your overalls, grab your camera and head out. It is so much fun to feed the farm animals and learn a little bit about each one. It is also a great opportunity for a family photo!
  • Fall Festivals - Many churches and schools put on fall festivals for the public. Most of the activities are free or cost very little. You can also enjoy fall festival foods like caramel apples, grilled corn on the cob and funnel cakes.
  • Corn Maze - Making your way through the twists and turns of a corn field can be a lot of fun for the entire family. Many mazes offer a page with clues for the less adventurous or night trips for the brave.
  • Apple Picking - Take a day trip to an apple orchard. Grab a basket and take a hay ride out into the orchard where you can pick your own apples. While you are there you might be able to enjoy apple cider, apple bread or apple pie.
  • Camping - Cool daytime temperatures for picnics, fishing and hiking; and even cooler nighttime temperatures for a campfire and Smores is a great way to bond with family.
Have fun this fall making memories with you family!
