This was one of the first books that Kiddo grabbed to read, when all the kids books came in for review!

Having recently watched the latest Shrek movie, I think that was what captured her attention. However, once we started reading the book, she realized it was much better!

This is the second book in the Gingerbread Girl series!

SynopsisIn this sequel, Lisa Campbell Ernst cooks up a new batch of cookie friends – the animal crackers!  The animal crackers think they know better than the Gingerbread Girl, but when they get caught by the sly fox, it’s up to Gingerbread Girl to save the day.

Review: Kiddo loved singing along with me after the 3rd page the theme song of the animal crackers on the loose (as shown above)! She was eager to turn the pages and see what trouble the animal crackers were avoiding next! She was sad when the book ended and wanted to read it all over again right away (a sign she loved the book!). This is a fun book that you'll love reading with your kids too!
