We all want to really CLEAN our clothes, so we get a little heavy handed with the detergent, but the new formulas are made to clean better than the old days, so it's time to learn a new habit, and Purex can help!
Enter the new Purex UltraPacks Liquid Laundry Detergent tabs!
Much like the tabs you put in your dishwasher, each tab is formulated with enough Purex Triple Action laundry detergent for a FULL load of laundry! They work in hot, warm or cold water, and are safe for even the new HE machines! All you do is throw in a tab, start your washer (the more contact with water the better, as they dissolve in water), throw in your clothes, add your Purex Crystals (or other softener), and waa-la you're done. SO easy even your child (or husband, LOL) can do it!
I worried with us doing extra large, or maxed out large loads, how well the packs would do and I am happy to report that they clean VERY well! I did perma-press, whites, uniforms, and towels. The only load that had some pieces that needed another run through, was the perma-press, as somebodies forgot to put stain remover on same very muddy/grassy pieces. But 5 pieces out of 8 loads? Works for me! I LOVE the convenience factor, and not having to cart around a heavy detergent bottle, or pull it down from the shelf. Plus, the tabs can be stored in a pretty container to match your laundry room design! After that load, I did add some pre-treater to the white load, as a precaution, and all was well, no redos on it. Now for a small load, it was definitely too much detergent, but as we tend to use a lingerie wash for them, it's no big deal.
The packs will hitting the stores in mid-February, so be on the lookout for them! They will be available in the Mountain Breeze scent and Free and Clear versions. No word on pricing, but if they keep you from using too much detergent, then they will actually be helping you to stretch your laundry budget, and saving you money! That's a double bonus to me, as they clean so well!
