Dream Big, Little Pig, Kristi's first book, which featured Poppy the Pig, has garnered rave reviews, sold more than 15,000 copies through bookscan, and debuted at #2 on the New York Times bestsellers list! Kiddo greatly enjoyed it, so she was quite happy to review this second book in the series, which will be released on March 6th!

It’s a Big World, Little Pig! cover

Synopsis: Poppy, the adorable, persistent, dreaming-big pig, has a new adventure in store for her: the World Games ice-skating championship in Paris! Poppy is nervous about meeting so many new people, in a new place. But, ever courageous and supported by her family (Emma, too!), Poppy embarks upon this exciting adventure head-on!  Poppy begins to realize that although these animals look different, act different, and are from different places, they are all the same at heart. We all smile in the same language!

NoteOne hundred percent of Kristi's profits from It’s a Big WorldLittle Pig! will benefit early childhood literacy programs supported by her Always Dream Foundation! AND you can even buy a DREAM BIG Poppy t-shirt for your little dreamer (100% of proceeds go to the foundation as well!)

Review: Kiddo adored this second Poppy book! She still thinks it's hilarious that a pig is ice skating! We've had alot of talks about diversity and people of other nations/races, so I was happy to see how she totally understood that everyone smiles when happy, and can be nervous, and share the same dream. In fact, that was the only thing she was upset about- the book didn't have Poppy winning her skate! Ok, so Kiddo has a competition streak! LOL. But it gave us a chance to talk about performing, just to perform and enjoying the moment, so it was a good segueway!

Kiddo loved the illustrations and was entranced for the whole book! In fact, when we finished, she wanted to send POPPY a postcard too! So that will be our projects this week, to help her work on her writing! She's also decided she needs a good luck charm, and Mom has to come up with one for her upcoming birthday! LOL.

If you are looking for a great present for a little girl, especially one who is into sports, dancing, cheerleading or music, I would recommend both books and the t-shirt! Plus, you know that the proceeds are going to help another child get their dream, so you give and get a gift at the same time!
