First Easter Egg Hunt of the Season...

A few weeks ago we took Kiddo and Suz's Step-grandson-to-be to my alma mater in New Orleans, for the annual Alumnae Kids Easter Egg Roll. Unfortunately the weather went bad the day before, so everything had to be held inside.

I don't think it mattered to the kids one bit!

Yup, the official pix of the kids came out just as cute! Photogenic 101!

welcome

Ah the unsuspecting teenagers- they had no idea what they were in for! LOL
The bubble table was the hands down fav of all the kids!

bubbles

Catching the bubbles became the name of the game!

craft 1

Crafting always gets our Mini-Martha's vote!

facepaint

Kiddo hates face painting, but we had one willing 'victim', aka Batman!

craft 2

AHA, a bug jar, they had the kids at 'Hello!"

craft 3
They had at least 8 craft tables- the kids were estatic!

talking

I had one of those Mom moments when I saw Kiddo having an in depth
conversation with one of the girls- pride for my daughter and pride for my alma mater
for producing such great teens, that she treated having a serious conversation with a
4 yr old, like she was speaking with the governor!

cookies

The cookie station was a welcome break for a sugar rush, before the egg roll!

egg race

No words needed- "CHAOS" suffices..........

egg race results

Yeah, my kid headed straight to the back of the gym and scarfed up eggs!
Hence she won the "Who got the most eggs?" prize!
The scary part? She shared 5 eggs with a 3 yr old,
who was crying about only finding 2 eggs!

Yeah, she has the whole Easter Egg hunt thing down to a science....

alligator

I love this picture- it's such a contrast of faces!
Batman is thrilled to be holding a REAL LIVE alligator!
But the poor gator is begging to "get me OUT OF HERE"!

bunny stalking

Stalking 101- eventually you WILL catch the bunny, if you keep tracking him!

hugs with bunny 2

Ya never know who the real Easter Bunny is,
so you have to make sure you share the love!

kids n oak tree
This oak tree has been on campus FOREVER, and survived Katrina,
it's tradition to take Kiddo's picture in front of it!

I think they both had a good time, what about you?
