Product Review: I Scent U Scentier Fragrance Lamp

If you're like us, with multiple animals and kids, you never know what has been tracked in, brought in, left out, or left undone in your house! Which usually means you and candles/room sprays/oils are on a pretty familiar basis with each other! I know we are!

So when I was offered the chance to review a NEW product from I Scent U, I was quite happy to agree!

I was scent one of their new MINI fragrance lamps, with a large bottle of Cotton Lace fragrance to review.

Isn't this an adorable bottle? I love the daisy pattern on it- very much like Depression Glass, which we have alot of, mostly in pink! How did my PR rep know? LOL. And sorry Suz, my Daisy girl, you don't get this one!

Our upstairs area is the equivalent in space to a small house, as there are 2 large bedrooms and one central room, long hallway and a bathroom. So for a MINI oil lamp to cover the ENTIRE area, is really impressive! Mom has a full size lamp that she uses and it has always amazed me at how well the lamps would to totally ERASE lingering smells in your house. So I was familiar with them, I just wasn't sure the mini lamp could work so well!

It TOTALLY took away any smells of the 3 cats! The scent was not overpowering (as some can be), but more subtle, like someone had walked by you wearing a perfume you want to smell again. I started the lamp out in the great room, and once the odors there were under control, moved it to the bathroom. The cats are older and have some 'issues' with the litter box, if you know what I mean, so I figured that putting it at the starting point of the smell might be a better option. Bingo! While the lamp is running, and for the next 12-24 hours, there is NO smell of cats. YEAH team! AND I found that after the initial 3 days of running the lamp for about 1-2 hours, that I only need to run it for about 15 minutes to get the pleasant smell back again! In fact, I Scent U recommends 30 minutes as an average run time. They are simple to extinguish- you just cover with the enclosed cap!

My mini-lamp came with a funnel to pour the oil in (important to have as CAVEAT- the oil will STAIN anything it lands on- highly recommended you pour it into the lamp over a sink or couple of folded paper towels!), an extra wick and the extinguisher cap and cover. The cover is shown above on the bottle. If you've never used one of oil lamps before, you might want to check out this excellent video on You Tube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XcLT3hDIHEI&lr=1 to see how to use them!

I Scent U has lamps that will fit any decor, from cut glass (like mine) to blown glass (above previous paragraph) to contemporary and mosaic glass (directly above), polished steel and even Krystalique! There us sure to be one that catches your eye- and budget, as they range from $20 to $70! Every one comes in a gorgeous package, with everything you need, except the oil (as I received). But you can buy a set with oil, for only $35!

They have over 25 fragrant scents to choose from (including a clean neutralizer scent) that range from florals to tropicals, to fresh (think spa), to herb n spice or essentials, or fruits or exotics! We ere sent Cotton Lace, which is clean smelling, like country air in the morning-  it has lime and green apple notes with violet and jasmine flowers, cedar wood, patchouli and vanilla musk.Which come to think of it, most of my perfumes I wear, have most of these elements, so no surprise it was one I selected! LOL. But it is the perfect smell to disperse the funky kid and pet smell!

If you're looking for an unique gift (Mother's Day IS coming up pretty quick!), a wonderful hostess present (Easter is upon us), or just a great Birthday gift for a dear friend, OR yourself, I Scent U scentier lamps are the perfect choice! We highly recommend them!
