After the initial scream, Kiddo decided she needed to keep the grasshopper..
And named him Fred....
He's sorta cute in a weird alien way....

Update: Fred got released back into the wild Wednesday afternoon, after a VERY long day with Kiddo at her school, much to his relief.
Pity for the lizard and caterpillar, who were her next victims.
They also got released-whew!
Much tears later, Kiddo understands if it's wild,
there is a 3 day capture rule.
Domesticated animals are on a case by case basis
(Lord help us!). LOL
