Our third children's book review today is another personalized book, but it differs in that you can get it in 3 different versions: ebook, hardback and soft back! How cool is that?
I had not head of Champion Me Personalized Children's Books before being contacted by them about doing a review. They are a newer company, but their personalized books are special, not only because of the available different formats, but because your child can personalize their CHARACTER, that interacts in the story. The books just don't have their NAME, they can see their personally made avatar, aka the hero!

Once you make your avatar, you get to preview your book. You get to see multiple sample pages, then you get to preview all the text.
In all of the books, the 'hero', aka your child's avatar, has a mission or problem to solve. The text is at about a 2nd grade level, but the rhymes and stories will appeal to younger kids as well. There are 4 books in the Champion Me Series right now:
- Stonkeropolous: When a frightening screech sends the town soldiers running to their mommies, our Hero sets out to face off with the mysterious beast alone! The moral of the story is not judging, being kind and helpful. Kiddo loved this story as she was a Knight Captain, was brave and strong, and kind, and solved the problem at hand.

- Scribble Monster: A little mischief is harmless, you say? Well, not when it takes on a life of its own and chases you all over the city! Kiddo adored this book, and laughed out loud for most of the book! She loved the idea of one of her drawings coming to life and playing with her-better than an imaginary friend-and being able to keep drawing things to help them in their play!
- Gadgetland: In a world of gadgets and machines, our Hero sets out on a crazy adventure to find a cure for a patient with a VERY bizarre ailment! Kiddo wants to be a doctor when she grows up(!!!) and all things electronic,so I knew she was going to love this book! She loved a machine that changed every time it sneezed, and the adventures they had!
- The Great Escape of the Mighty Star: In the form of...a deer! A bird! A dog! Whatever it takes for our Hero to protect the magical existence of all things cute and cuddly from a power-hungry wizard! Kiddo loved this book from the beginning, when a talking butterfly landed on her avatar's hand! Fairies, talking animals, and unicorns galore- she was enchanted and wanted more of the tale! The tale talks about shyness and overcoming it, as well as appreciating nature, and everything in it was a moral that she knows and adheres to!
Before you place your order, you also get to write a special dedication for each of the books. The prices are reasonable ($9 for ebook, $26for softback and $37 for hardback), considering that your child is DESIGNING her avatar, and every book is unique unto itself.
We highly recommend all the books and I am very happy to announce that I have a $5 off code for ALL BTHM Readers! Just use code 'HEARTS at check out and $5 will be taken off your order!
AND we have a $10 certificate for one lucky BTHM reader as well (that's a free ebook)!
