Additional Accessories Tablet Owners Need!

One of the things that happens when you get one of the new 'smart' electronics, be it a smart phone, tablet, netbook, ereader or laptop, you know you'll be needing to buy accessories that apply to ONLY that item. Which of course means you may be putting out more money than you want to.

So if you can find items that can multi-purpose between your different devices, you know you'll not only save money, but time hunting for another accessory! When I got my new Nexus 7 tablet (thanks Staples- LOVE YOU!), it obviously didn't come with any film covering the touch screen, or a case, a smudged screen was inevitable! So I was glad when the opportunity came pretty quickly to review a screen cleaner!

iEraser Tablet Screen Cleaner
The iEraser is just PURE amazing! Invented by an iPad and Kindle Fire user, it glides across your screen and magically lifts the grime off with each pass! Average time to clean a tablet screen is only ten seconds. Seriously, the iEraser is the most effective device to remove fingerprints and smudges from your touchscreen I have ever seen. One pass and you are DONE! After 2 weeks of use, it took ALL the grime and prints off my Nexus in mere seconds!

I love that it fits perfectly in your hand, is lightweight (only 2.5 Ounces) and made in the U.S.A.! best of all, it is designed to provide thousands and thousands of cleanings.
Thus, it is a money saver! It also comes in Black, White and Pink, to fit YOUR style. The BEST part? the company donates 25 cents from each sale Charity: Black - Wounded Veterans, White - Disaster Relief, Pink - Children's Cancer. So it not only helps you, it helps others!

The iEraser is not intended for use on smart phones for cleaning off facial oils and makeup. Nor is it intended to clean plastic films applied to electronic screens. However I used it on both, and it took off some of the smudges, enough to make a difference. So I would say it MIGHT work, but not intended for them!

But the iEraser was only a temporary solution for me. I knew I needed a screen protector, as when you have a 5 yr old using your tablet, you KNOW there will be an accident or two! I was having a problem finding a screen protector I was happy with,as the Nexus just came out a couple of months ago, and there aren't a whole lot of accessories for it yet. So when a co-worker and I realized that the Kindle Fire screen was almost the same size. I was thrilled, as I knew there would be alot more options available. When Amazon Vine had a Kindle Fire protector available, I knew it was a good option to try.

Marware Anti-Scratch Screen Protector 2-Pack With Cleaning Cloth for Kindle Fire

Marware Anti-Scratch Screen Protector set
The Marware Anti-Scratch Screen Protector is precisely cut to cover the entire Kindle Fire display exactly, protecting it from the dangers of scratches, dirt, dust or foreign objects. The 2 protector set comes with a microfiber cleaning cloth, to clean your screen before adhering the protector, and an applicator for removing bubbles while adhering the protector.

The Kindle Fire is almost the same size as my Nexus 7, in fact, were it not for the included camera on the Nexus 7, I could have used the Marware Kindle Fire protector straight from the package with no editing! But the camera sits down a bit from the edge, so I had to remove about an centimeter off the top of the protector, to adjust for it. Otherwise, the fit was perfect and covers all the areas you would be swiping and typing on! Bingo!

I love that the protector is easily removable and easy to clean. It has held up really well this past week, to alot of use! I'm glad I had the protector on, as using it at work, there were alot of fingerprints! The screen has been easy to see as there is no glare like some protectors can give you! And most importantly, there has been no loss of screen sensitivity. I'm glad I tried out this set, and recommend it for any Kindle Fire or Nexus 7 tablet user!

So there's the take on 2 necessary items if you have a tablet!
