Kmart Layaway to the Rescue and their Big Layaway Giveaway!

Kmart's prepping for the season of giving (only 100 days until Christmas you know! You can SCREAM now, go ahead, we'll wait) and launching their Kmart's Big Layaway Giveaway! The Giveaway began 9/9/12 and consists of one layaway giveaway per store paid off, weekly until 11/17/12! Can you imagine your entire Christmas layaway PAID off for you?.Every week you have a shot at those items getting paid off too! How cool is that? 

I know some of you might not remember layaway- gasp! But for many of us, it was part of the thrill leading up to Christmas- you got to go with mom and pick out items at the store, and they might put them on layaway right then, so you KNEW you'd be getting them for Christmas (yes, this was post Santa days). Before the rampant use of credit cards, this was a way for our folks to get us what we wanted, and not do without!

We've done away with all our credit cards, so for me, layaway is the way to go to get Kiddo those special holiday gifts she wants, and things we could use for the house!  I love that there is NO minimum amount required, and that it is available year round, as with her borthday a couple of months after Christmas, I like to buy big birthday presents when I can find them on SALE at Christmas time! And as our Kmart store is 40 minutes away, I love that I can make payments online! WOO HOO!

Kiddo has told me just about DAILY, that she wants her own tablet, preferably the one for KIDS, aka the Leapad!- Kmart even has both colors:

I'm hankering after a new TV for upstairs, like this nice 32inch flat screen, so I can catch up on my TIVO's shows, while crafting, sewing and ironing!
